Jumpflex vs Oz Trampolines

Jumpflex and Oz Trampolines compete for the same mid-market buyer, and they split cleanly on two rows: the safety standard and capacity.

Oz is the one that meets the standard: its Summit Round and Summit Oval models are listed as meeting the Australian Trampoline Standard AS 4989:2015. No Jumpflex model is. Jumpflex has the capacity: the MEGA is rated to 225 kg per jumper and 450 kg combined, and the HERO to 160 kg, against 150 kg at the top of the Oz range.

Warranty favours Jumpflex on the frame, at 10 years on the HERO and MEGA against 5 years across the Oz range. The HERO and MEGA also come with 5-year mat warranties against 2 years on the Oz range, though Oz provides a 2-year net warranty against 1 year from Jumpflex. Oz is cheaper throughout and offers oval models; Jumpflex offers square and rectangular ones in the MEGA line and goes considerably higher at the top of its range.

Choose Oz Trampolines if you want a model that meets the standard, an oval shape or the lower price. Choose Jumpflex if you want the longer frame warranty, a much higher weight rating, or a square or rectangular mat.

Quick verdict

For a family trampoline on a budget that meets the standard, look at the Oz Summit models. Jumpflex costs more, which is worth it when heavier or older jumpers are involved, or when you want a rectangular mat, provided the missing standard is not a problem.
